Our Wedding

April and Eric met in 2015. April was a journalist and Eric was in fine jewelry sales. Since then, there have been multiple career changes and relocations. From Saint Thomas, U.S. Virgin Islands, to Austin, Texas, to Brownsville, Texas, back to Saint Thomas, and finally, to Washington D.C. in 2019 to pursue April’s law school dream. April and Eric love exploring the world’s cultures and places, but their favorite place is their living room couch, watching TV reruns with their two dogs, Leia and Marceline. They’ve grown together and went through a lot. Miraculously, they haven’t gotten tired of each other (yet!). For April and Eric, the marriage has been happening. They’re just lucky enough to hold this wedding where they can thank and share their joy with family and friends.

Disney World in Orlando, the largest Disney park in the world, is a three-hour drive from Miami and definitely worth the visit. We personally love the new-ish Star Wars Galaxy’s Edge section, but there’s so much more on offer for kids of all ages! You can also hop on over to nearby Universal Orlando for some Harry Potter action.

Make Miami’s shimmering blue waters your playground. You can sail, paddleboard, jet ski or parasail the skies, and bring home memories to last forever.

Encounter the Local Fauna

Take in a fantastic view of Miami by hopping on a sunset cruise on Biscayne Bay. You get a premium view of the Miami skyline, Millionaires Row, Port of Miami, & Downtown Miami!

Head on over to the Wynwood Art District, Miami’s creative art hub, or to the Adrienne Arsht Center for the Performing Arts in Downtown Miami to catch a touring Broadway show, or its resident companies, including the Miami City Ballet, Florida Grand Opera and the New World Symphony.

The good and tireless folks running the shelter would be grateful for any support. My Brother’s Workshop is a non-profit Virgin Islands organization with a mission of providing hope, faith, and purpose to at-risk and high-risk young people in the USVI. MBW offers services like mentoring, counseling, paid job training, education, and job placement. In the aftermath of the 2017 hurricanes, the young people of MBW helped provide thousands of meals to impacted Virgin Islanders. My Brother’s Workshop

Family Resource Center, Inc. is a private non-profit agency providing free programs and services for victims of crime, particularly domestic violence and abuse, in the Virgin Islands. They began serving the community in 1981 by opening the emergency shelter for women and children. FRC has since expanded services to meet the needs of victims of child abuse, domestic violence, and sexual assault. Please visit their website at www.frcusvi.org.
